The Amazon traded on NASDAQ stock exchange with the symbol AMZN. In the 1990s the company was growing at a steady pace whereas the other companies made remarkable progress. With the burst of the Dot-com bubble many companies sank while Amazon persevered and started making huge profits. The Time Magazine honored Jeff Bezos as the 1999 Person of the Year for the huge success of the company in online sales.
