IFEBP or International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans is a voluntary organization in the USA. This organization has been serving as an industry to offer the employees various kinds of benefits and compensation for more than half of a century. service providers in the compensation and benefit sector. These service providers may be consultants,

After the enactment of Labor-Management Relations Act of 1947 many employer benefit trust funds were setup in the USA. Money was getting into the fund meant for benefit of the employees and labors.
The concerns found it difficult to manage the fund raised for employee's benefit. To discuss about the proper functioning of the fund a meeting was held at Ohio on 2nd of April, 1954. this meeting was lay the foundation stone of IFEBP.
IFEBP or International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans has the aim to become the leader of the organization engaged in activities like providing financial benefits, compensation and employee benefits. This organization has also got the aim to educate the global leaders of employee benefits in such a way so that they can work more effectively and offer better services.
This organization is governed by a board of directors working voluntarily. The volunteer board of directors of International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans or IFEBP was comprised of benefit plan administrators, management trustees and labor trustees of the single employer and multi employer
employee benefit plans. Only the professionals of United States of America and Canada are entitled to be included in the board of directors. This organization also has some advisory directors. Investment advisors, consultants, attorneys, actuaries and accountants and other professional advisors to the employee benefit plans can work as advisory directors.
Certified Employee Benefit Specialist or CEBS is a programmes offered by IFEBP. The programmes of CEBS can offer 4 very famous designations in the countries like Canada and the USA. These designations cover all aspects of the plans of employee benefits and compensation plans.
