The company also runs the Bloomberg Television, a business radio station WBBR, and a financial television station in New York City. In 2000, an estimation was made by the Forbes Magazine that the cash flow of Bloomberg margins on its $2.3 billion in revenues that exceeded 35%. In entire North America, Bloomberg reports to have more than 100,000 users, and 130,000 in the rest part of the world. The competitors of Bloomberg are Dow Jones, FACTSET, Reuters, and Newswires.
The history of Bloomberg state in 1981 Mike Bloomberg left Salmon Brother and set up the Innovative Marketing System. In the year 1982, the company got its first customer – Merrill Lynch where 22 Market Master Terminals were installed. In 1986, Bloomberg got its new name – Bloomberg L.P. and till 1987, 5000 terminals were installed by the company. There started the success story of Bloomberg L.P.
