Allahabad Bank

Allahabad Bank is one of the oldest and the most premier banks in India. The bank was founded on 1865 by the Europeans of Allahabad. Gradually the bank established its subsidiaries in Lucknow, Kanpur, Bareilly, Jhansi, Delhi and Kolkata. From 1923 Allahabad Bank had shifted its head office in Kolkata. The bank was nationalized by the Indian government on July 19th, 1969. United Industrial Bank Limited merged with the Allahabad Bank in 1989.
